5. Single-User Personal License
Upon purchasing or accessing any digital study pass, you are granted a strictly personal, non-commercial, revocable, non-exclusive single-user access license. You shall not share your account credentials, lend access, or synchronize study content across shared commercial centers.
Automated extraction, screen recordings, bot scraping, AI crawling, or unauthorized republishing of JurisAbhyas notes or model answers across Telegram channels, WhatsApp groups, or Google Drive repositories constitutes copyright infringement and will lead to immediate account termination and legal action under Sections 63 & 65 of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957.
6. Limitation of Liability & Absolute Monetary Cap
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, in no event shall JurisAbhyas, its founders, authors, or employees be liable for any indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of semester academic time, tuition fees, or re-examination charges.
Absolute Monetary Liability Cap: The total aggregate financial liability of JurisAbhyas for any dispute shall not exceed the exact amount actually paid by the student for the corresponding study pass, or INR 500 (Five Hundred Rupees), whichever is less.
7. Campus Bookstore, QR Standee & Affiliate Referral Framework
JurisAbhyas collaborates with verified college bookstores and academic campus partners through counter standees and referral links:
- 30-Day Attribution Window: Scanning an authorized campus store QR code places a temporary 30-day attribution cookie in your browser session. If you purchase an eligible study pass within 30 days, sales credit is attributed to support that local campus bookstore. If no purchase is made within 30 days, the attribution token automatically expires.
- Zero Price Surcharge & Student Parity: Using a bookstore referral code or QR standee never increases pass prices. Students receive standard platform pricing or promotional student discounts.
- Internal Commission Allocation (No Student Lock-in): Any multi-year commission attribution between JurisAbhyas and partner bookstores is strictly an internal B2B revenue-sharing accounting rule. It does NOT restrict student autonomy, does not lock students into buying exclusively from any vendor, and confers zero ownership over the student.
- Student Choice & Opt-Out Right: You maintain unconditional control over your account. You can remove store attribution at any time directly on the checkout/pricing page or by contacting student support.
Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 Framework
Designated Data Fiduciary Obligations & Student Data Principal Rights
1. Notice of Data Collection (Section 5)
JurisAbhyas collects only the minimum personal data strictly necessary to authenticate your student account and track your academic revision:
- Google Identity Data: Verified display name, email address, profile avatar URL, and Google UID provided via Google OAuth 2.0.
- Academic Telemetry: Selected university (e.g. SPPU), course (LLB / BA LLB), current semester, topic completion status (Not Started, Learning, Revision, Mastered), and study time counters.
- Technical Diagnostics: IP address, browser type, operating system, and preferred language (English / Marathi).
2. Absolute Non-Selling Guarantee (Section 8)
JurisAbhyas DOES NOT sell, rent, monetize, broker, or trade student personal data to third-party marketing companies, coaching centers, or advertisement brokers. Your study records belong solely to you.
3. Storage & Enterprise Security Safeguards (Section 8)
Student data is hosted on Google Cloud Platform / Firebase in Indian data centers. All communications are protected using TLS 1.3 encryption in transit, and all database records are secured via AES-256 encryption at rest.
Zero Financial Data Storage: All payments are processed through RBI-licensed, PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant gateways (Razorpay / UPI). JurisAbhyas never accesses, processes, or stores debit/credit card numbers, CVVs, or UPI PINs.
4. Minor & Children's Data Protection (Section 9)
Our law curriculum (3-Year LL.B. and 5-Year B.A. LL.B.) is intended primarily for adult university students aged 18 and older. Any user under the age of 18 must use the platform under the consent and supervision of a parent or lawful guardian. JurisAbhyas strictly prohibits behavioral tracking, psychological profiling, or targeted advertisements directed at minors.
5. Exercise of Data Principal Rights (Sections 11–14)
Under the DPDP Act 2023, you have the statutory right to:
- Right to Access: View all saved profile and study metrics directly inside your Student Profile.
- Right to Erasure: Request permanent deletion of your account and cloud records by contacting our Grievance Desk on WhatsApp at +91 8999887247. All cloud records will be wiped within 30 days.
- Right to Grievance Redressal: Grievances will be formally acknowledged within 24 hours and addressed within 15 working days.
6. Partner & Bookstore Data Isolation Guarantee (DPDP Act 2023 Compliant)
In strict compliance with Sections 5, 6, and 8 of the DPDP Act 2023 and the CCPA Guidelines for Prevention of Dark Patterns (2023):
